Artist statement

I paint to make decisions I cannot reverse. On screen, every move can be undone; on canvas, each mark changes what the next one can be.

The work moves between large gestures and quiet space. I paint in series, mostly at night, and stop when the tension between the two feels resolved. The pieces that survive make it onto this page.
