Simplifying all things money.

During my time at Revolut, I initially worked in the People Department before being headhunted to join the Retail Banking App team.

Problem

After my time in the People Department, I was headhunted to join Revolut’s Retail Banking team. This department is responsible for key features of the Revolut consumer app, including the home screen, payments, cards, localization, and profile flows. The challenge was to enhance user experiences while operating in a high-growth, performance-driven environment.

Solution

In my role, I contributed to designing delightful and engaging user experiences, focusing on customization options and simplifying essential flows within the app. I also laid the groundwork for a new approach to widget customization on the home screen and account screens, enhancing user interaction with the app.

Design

Working within an established design system, I aimed to push the boundaries of simplicity and user engagement. I was involved in major updates to the design system, particularly in the areas of pattern and style consistency. My design approach was always centered on creating intuitive, user-friendly experiences that aligned with Revolut’s fast-paced development cycle.

Impact

My contributions in the Retail Banking department resulted in the development of customization flows that provided Revolut’s 45 million+ users with easy and enjoyable ways to personalize their home and account screens, leveraging the new widget infrastructure and framework, as well as other parts in cards, payments, security and profile areas of the whole app globally.
