Legal, Float app.

Float has no account, no server and no bank connection. Your numbers stay on your device, and in your own iCloud if you turn on sync.

Keine Konten, kein Server.

Keine Analyse, keine Werbung.

Stand: Oktober 2026.

Privacy Policy

Float is a planner for your own month, built so your numbers stay with you.

No accounts, no server. Float has no user accounts and no server of its own. Everything you enter (income, fixed costs, subscriptions, pots, goals, life events, name, birth year and profile picture) is stored locally on your device.

iCloud sync (optional). If you turn it on in Settings, this data is synced between your devices through your own private iCloud database at Apple. Only your Apple Account can access it, not the developer. Apple's privacy policy applies.

No analytics, no ads. Float uses no analytics or tracking tools, no advertising SDKs and shares no data with third parties.

Brand logos. To show the right logo for entries like "Netflix" or "Hilton", Float requests the icon for the matching web address (for example netflix.com) from a public icon service (Google favicon service, DuckDuckGo). For names Float does not know, a likely address is derived from the name. Only that address is sent, no amounts or other data. As with any web request, the service sees your device's IP address. Generic words like "rent" or "holiday" are never requested.

Purchases. Float Pro is bought through Apple's App Store. Float receives no payment data, only Apple's confirmation that a purchase exists.

Reminders, Face ID and photos. Reminders are scheduled locally. The Face ID, Touch ID or passcode lock runs through the system; Float receives no biometric data. You choose a profile picture yourself through the system photo picker; Float only sees that one image.

Crash reports. If you allow it in your device settings, Apple may collect anonymous crash reports. Float receives no personal data.

Deleting. In Float under Settings, "Delete all data". With sync on, this also deletes the copy in iCloud. Deleting the app removes the data on the device; delete an iCloud copy in iOS Settings under your name, iCloud, Manage Storage, Float.

Controller. Felix-Martin Lebedinzew, postal address in the imprint, email [email protected].

Legal bases. Processing on your device and in your iCloud serves to provide the app you asked for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Logo requests rely on our legitimate interest in showing entries recognisably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Purchases are handled by Apple as an independent controller.

Recipients and third countries. Apple (iCloud, App Store) and the icon services of Google and DuckDuckGo. These providers may process data in the USA. Google and Apple are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; otherwise the EU Commission's standard contractual clauses apply.

Retention. Your entries stay until you delete them or remove the app. Float itself stores nothing on servers. Logs of the icon services and of Apple follow their own retention periods.

Your rights. You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and data portability (Art. 15 to 20 GDPR) and to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR). Since Float keeps no data on its own servers, you can exercise most of these directly in the app. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. There is no automated decision-making or profiling.
